Getting Your Car Ready for a Road Trip

Road trips are an iconic part of summer. But the last thing you want is to be broken down on the side of the high way. Keep these tips in mind to help prevent any unwanted car troubles from happening when you’re on vacation!

  1. Check your Tires: Tires need two things to function: air and tread. To check the tread, do the penny trick, stick one in the tread, and if you can see Abe’s head, you need new tires.
  2. Brakes: Faulty brakes are probably the last thing you want when cruising down the road. Bring your car into one of our Service Centers to have your brakes checked.
  3. Hoses and Timing Belt: You’ll want to check that your belts, hoses, and -if you have one-, the timing belt are in good shape. Failure in one of these components will definitely spell out trouble for your trip.
  4. Oil and Fluids:When it comes to the engine, taking risks isn’t a good idea. Bring your car into one of our Service Centers to get all of your fluids checked. It could save you some headaches down the road

Road Trips can be great time spent with family and friends! But to ensure you have the best time possible, make sure you get your car a check-up before taking it on a trip.
